Grounded support through life's transitions...
Whether you're facing the end of life, supporting a loved one, moving through grief or navigating a major life transition - I'm here to offer steady, non-medical care that meets your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

I’m Kari, a Death Doula serving Bellingen NSW, and surrounding communities, as well as offering support online. I companion you with compassion, clarity, and practical presence helping you feel supported, informed, and cared for through life’s thresholds.

What is a Death Doula?

The word doula comes from the Greek word meaning “person of service.”

Just as a birth doula supports the arrival of new life, a death doula supports life’s closing chapter. We are non-medical professionals, trained to offer practical guidance, compassionate presence, and holistic support to individuals and their families before, during, and after death.
Companioning the Dying
For individuals approaching the end of life - whether alert, nonverbal, or in active dying - I offer emotional, spiritual, and physical support tailored to their capacity and needs. My role is to listen, to soothe, and to honour the sacred unfolding of this threshold.
Support for Families & Carers
For loved ones supporting someone who is dying - at home, in aged care, or hospice. I offer grounded presence (in person or online), emotional reassurance, and gentle, practical support with what matters most during this time.
After Death Care
For families and carers in the hours after death, I offer calm guidance and physical care for the body, as well as quiet support in the sacred space of farewell.
Grief & Transition Support
For those moving through grief, endings, or transformation - whether related to physical death or symbolic loss - I offer presence, bodywork, and space for remembrance and renewal.
